Here are links to a few of our favorite web sites...check 'em out!

  • Youth Specialties: Co-founded by Wayne Rice and Mike Yaconelli, this organization provides resources and training for youth workers in the local church. The YS website is probably the most complete source of information on youth ministry in the world.
  • Youthministry.com: Group Publishing sponsors this website for youth workers, which provides links to all kinds of helpful resources. They also publish a terrific magazine which we advertise in quite a bit.
  • National Network of Youth Ministries: NNYM is a great source of encouragement and resources for youth workers in the church. UYT is a sponsoring member of this organization
  • Youthworker Journal: This is an excellent resource for church youth workers, published by Salem Communications. Wayne Rice is a former editor of this top notch bi-monthly publication.
  • Fuller Theological Seminary's Center for Youth and Family Ministry: CYFM provides resources and training for youth and family workers in the church. Our friends Chap Clark and Kara Powell are involved in this effort to promote and encourage effective family-based youth ministry.
  • Compassion: We are proud to be ministry partners with Compassion International, a wonderful mission organization that provides sponsors for children all over the world who live in poverty. We invite you to consider sponsoring a child today. Find out how on their website.
  • Gospel Communications Network: Gospelcom hosts our web site along with several hundred others. Go to their home page and scroll down the list of organizations and ministries there. It's amazing how many people are out there doing good stuff!
  • Columbia International University: Here's a great Christian college, where one of our seminar team, Dr. David Olshine, teaches youth ministry. We appreciate CIU's support of Understanding Your Teenager!
  • The Center for Parent-Youth Understanding: CPYU is a great source of information on today's youth culture. Their "e-update" newsletter is highly recommended.
  • Plugged In: Here's a great publication from Focus on the Family that will help keep you up on the latest trends in popular music and media.
  • Wayne Rice: Did you know that the director of Understanding Your Teenager is an incurable bluegrass music enthusiast? Check out his personal website to find out about his other interests, books he's written and pictures of his grandkids!
  • Shelterwood: This is a Christian residential care facility for at-risk youth, located in Colorado. They specialize in providing Christ-centered care for troubled youth and helping families mend broken relationships.
